Vibe
The definition of the word Vibe is “the atmosphere of a place as communicated to and felt by others.” Vibe Design started as a conceptual business in a college class. After graduation, I went on to work in several large architecture firms in the Washington DC area and when the opportunity arose to start my own company, I knew just what to name it.

Home…it’s where so many moments of our lives unfold, where memories are made, the basecamp for our adventures. So what if the interiors provided a beautiful and functional backdrop for all of these moments? That’s our “why” here at VDC, to help you find just the right vibe that reflects your unique preferences and lifestyle.
Each project is client centered and collaborative with a concierge level of service.
Our team is 100% engaged…we seek to understand each client’s story, allowing us to create space that truly reflects the homeowner.
We ensure that the process is (actually!) enjoyable and your expectations are exceeded at every stage.

I grew up near Ann Arbor, MI, spending summers adventuring in Traverse City. After meeting (and marrying!) a Colorado boy, we eventually relocated full time to Steamboat Springs with our daughter and Australian Shepard.
My two favorite subjects in school were math and art, which I’m told is a strange, lol. However, Interior Design/Architecture is the perfect mix of both, combining creative and technical components. Knowing it was the profession for me, I received a BA in Interior Architecture and Design from Marymount University in Arlington, VA. After graduation, I worked at several large firms in the DC area with a commercial design focus before starting my own firm in 2010.
Helping clients find just the right “vibe” for them…give me an initial meeting and a few inspo photos and I’ll dial it in!
Living in Steamboat, I’m fortunate to have amazing options right outside my front door and throughout the state of Colorado. That said, I’m a sucker for Europe! The architecture and landscapes there are awe inspiring, and I have a particular fondness for anywhere in the Alps!
Summer: gravel or mountain biking, paddle boarding
Winter: playing in the snow, snowboarding, split boarding, fat biking
Textural elements, preferably with a matte finish!
“Cowboy Luxe”…I love the casual/western/mountain components of design here in Steamboat but prefer to combine these with a bit of luxury like high quality materials and thoughtful detailing.
Definitely green…and preferably a slightly moody one like Sherwin Williams Pewter Green.

I grew up in Austin, TX, but Colorado was always calling my name, so I moved there as soon as I could. Now I’m back in Texas to be closer to family, but I jump at any chance to get back to the mountains!
I graduated from Texas A&M with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing, but after spending a summer in college interning for a local home builder in Texas, I knew I had found my true passion and that I needed to be in the home industry in some capacity. Once I moved to Colorado, I spent a few years in sales for a plumbing, appliance and lighting wholesaler, but as soon as the opportunity arose, I made the switch to Interior Design and went back to school to receive an Associate of Applied Sciences Degree in Interior Design from ACC.
They call me the Plumbing Ninja—because knowing what’s behind the walls is just as important as what’s in front of them!
Give me a ticket to Europe, and I’m there! I love experiencing new cultures and getting inspired by the incredible architecture around the world.
Generally escaping to the mountains to explore new hiking trails or chasing fresh powder. Anything that gets me outside!
A shower without a niche is like a kitchen without cabinets—where do you stash the essentials? A well-placed, beautifully tiled niche is my non-negotiable for both style and function!
“The Mountain Margarita” – Vibrant, refreshing, fun, with a nod to the local surroundings. It’s all about creating spaces that feel playful and energetic while still having a sophisticated, timeless edge.
A rich terracotta. It’s nature’s perfect shade – warm and timeless!
