‘Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.’

As summer comes to an end, I’m reflecting on my favorite moments…one of which was my very first MTB race. While I’m an avid cyclist, I’d never raced before….but I also make it a point to seek out a few opportunities each year that take me way out of my comfort zone. The idea of racing, of being out on the trail with so many other people made me squirm. So I signed up and I trained and every time I thought about race day, it was with mild dread. 😰

And then I showed up at my start time, took a deep breath, started pedaling and it turned out to be not so bad. In fact it was pretty darn fun…I just might have to sign up for another. 😝

It’s funny how our minds can psych us out and how good it feels to accomplish something that stretches us, ultimately expanding our comfort zones.

Doors and hardware are key components to the overall vibe of any space. On this project we went with painted doors throughout…mainly in a warm gray…but in a few key places, we popped in some color. Talk about a major entry closet upgrade! (Swipe to see before.)

Powder room refresh…it was ‘fine’ before (swipe to see) but now it has personality! And if you look close at the reflection in the mirror you’ll see a fun piece of art from the client’s collection. I love that the whole home is filled with whimsical touches!

Consistent tile accents throughout this locker room space ensure cohesion while adding interest to each area. What once were ‘dark and scary’ showers are now light and bright!

These same details will be found in the new lobby/entry to the fitness center under construction now….Phase 2 takes this palette, and a new more efficient layout out to the entry, creating an amazing guest experience from start to finish at this gem of a pool + fitness facility.

This tree stump was holding up one end of some upper cabinets in this clients kitchen. During this whole home renovation, we removed it and repurposed it as an end table with a raw steel top.

Combined with fresh light paint, airy blinds and a lounge-y sofa, it adds an organic element to this rec room. Perfect for mountain living!

Fun little furniture project for a retired couple. They own the cutest little house with a craftsman vibe and were ready to update their open living/dining area furnishings to something a bit more contemporary. Starting with an existing rug as inspiration, we selected a furniture package with clean lines and some fun color....Can’t wait for install day!
